What Is CAM-O?

Every day children are hospitalized.

Some children are able to leave after a short stay but most are there for months on end and even years. Sadly, the majority of kids in hospitals feel alone, not connected, and also not belonged with their peers as well as people around them.

With this being the case it is even more difficult to become healthier and in the big picture enjoy life. That is why CAM-O was created.

Knowing and experiencing these feelings myself as well as my family I felt driven and motivated to not only provide help but to pull from my own experiences. CAM-O is here to serve the children within hospitals who feel alone, not belonged, and also a lack of connection to show what is possible for any child with the courage to dream.

Our vision is to be the leader of inspiration for all kids within hospitals.

We are bringing hope backed up with the inspiration to motivate children in hospitals to realize their own potential as well as take part in their own health for a greater life.

We offer 1-on-1 coaching as well as training and courses to provide guidance for kids within hospitals to become belonged, connected, and accountable for their own actions and health. We also provide products to fulfill gaps within the hospital experience that is missing and crucial to ideal health and recovery.

Our story starts with the life of a very bright young boy.

His name is Cameron Brovac. Cameron was a very bright soul and always tried his best to be there in times of struggle.

When Cam and Michael were born they were diagnosed with a rare disease called IPEX syndrome or in other words bad immune health. With this being the case in both boys sadly Michael made it and Cameron did not. Throughout their life, they had numerous hospitalizations and often life or death situations. With this being the case they faced numerous struggles. To name a few they went through brain tumors, arthritis in the whole body, diabetes, epilepsy, and even hormonal imbalances which affected the way they both developed as they matured.

When Cameron passed away at the age of 10 this was a big opportunity for his older brother Michael to use the life Cam gave to him. At the time of the loss, Michael was depressed and very sick. This all took a great toll on Michael and it became very clear that he needed a change. Michael always had a desire from when his little brother passed that he wanted to do something to honor Cam’s life as well as better his own.

It was not till Michael was under a great amount of stress in a bone marrow transplant that he made the choice to not only get better but to change his whole lifestyle. With this came great guidance and influence so that Michael could fully take accountability for not only his actions but his health. As you can imagine being in the same circumstances with not only himself but his whole family for 19 years. They were able to grab some tools along the way that would be very beneficial for others.

One of the major principles Michael noticed was the lack of purpose within himself. It was not till his great mentor Christian told him "you are more than just a kid in the hospital bed". This not only was what gave Michael hope it was what backed up the drive he gained from losing his little brother Cam.

With this new drive, Michael started setting goals and one of them was to play basketball at full capacity with no limitations for over 60 minutes. This was the crucial piece Michael was missing which was a purpose or more so a WHY for leaving the hospital for good.

Now, if we Fast forward to the present day Michael has continued to better himself and be the best example that he could possibly be for all the kids who are in hospitals right now.

About Me

So you're probably wondering who's behind CAM-O?

Well, my name is Michael Brovac. I am 23 years old from Hamilton Ontario and I have spent over 18 years of my life in the hospital. I’ve had a great amount of experience with being the patient in bed. This being the case you could say that this is why I am the most suited for this role with CAM-O.

I am a certified holistic life coach through the "Chek Institute" of California in San Diego, an Inspirational speaker with experience speaking in front of 500-plus people, and completed multiple courses from Intrapreneur Academy by Sean Croxton to B school presented by Marie Forleo. Im also a coach/health practitioner at a gym in Sudbury Ontario called “LVX fitness studio”. This is where I specialize in helping individuals with their lifestyle needs like proper movement, diet, rest, and mentality coaching. Lastly, I am a coach of the professional basketball team in Sudbury called the “Sudbury Five” based out of the pro-Canadian league called the “NBLC”.

Now if you had to ask me what my most beneficial skill was it would have to be that I have lived what you're going through. Not only that but I've come out on the other side very successful.

You need to hear this!

Just to give you a bit of back story when I was born I was diagnosed with IPEX syndrome a rare form of immune deficiency as well as my little brother Cam. With this came great barriers and eventually, it took my little brother’s life at 10 years old. From the day Cam passed away that was when CAM-O started. The death of my little brother Cam broke my shell and created a new one.

I would often wonder how can I honor my brother? or more so WHY did my brother pass? There was no other answer but to provide me with life and eventually carry that gift to others.

Now ever since I committed to this lifestyle I have accomplished things that were said to be impossible. The boy who was sick and was on over 30 medications with life-threatening conditions is now completely off all medications with tremendous health and vitality. Quite frankly doing better than a lot of people surrounding him.

Now after reading that I want you to know one thing this can be YOU
